Kennedy Mason is a microbiologist who loves her work. However, she classifies herself an introvert who lacks the social skills needed to blend in with the rest of the world. Despite Fiona’s insistence she go, Kennedy declines the invitation to attend the upcoming reunion at Bridgeport Academy since there aren't any classmates she is eager to see again. Although, that is where she met Harrison Davidson, the first boy she’d ever had an emotional attachment to. Once they parted ways, she never heard from him again.
Harrison Davidson has been searching for the love of his life for years. He made the mistake of letting her get away fifteen years ago. His luck changes when he is headhunted to fill a position at the same company the love of his life now works. He jumps at the opportunity without thinking it thoroughly through. He has baggage and doesn’t know the current situation of Dr. Kennedy Mason after all these years. He refuses to let that stumbling block stop him and plows ahead with his plans to reunite with the one woman he swore he could never live without.

This story starts off incredibly slow, but that isn't the worst part. The dialogue is incomplete. Although the story is told from Kennedy's point of view, the reader really never gets a sense of her. The dialogue between characters is like something a teenager would write. The characters are underdeveloped. Not to mention the fact that the author is writing about topics she very obviously doesn't know anything about. Doctors and scientists get the Nobel prize in science; diplomats and political activists get it for Peace. The mention of the research is very general and broad, most research is very field specific. This book could have been salvaged with a good editor. As it is, I can only be glad I didn't pay more than a dollar for this book.

The Reunion edition by Toye Lawson Brown Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I enjoyed this book, it was a little drawn out. But the storyline was okay once you got into the book! The characters were okay. I would say read it is a good book!
This was an enjoyable story. Loved all of the characters (good and bad). Two smart people with flaws that overcome fears to share and fight for love. Who could ask for more. There was drama and humor. A nice blend of everything. Would like to read a story with Fiona (have her give Fatty a beat down). Read the story and you'll understand. Job well done. Would recommend this story for other's to read. Don't delay buy this book. Keep them coming.
I have read many of Ms Brown's books. This was different being an IR relationship. The sister dynamic was funny through most of the book, nerdy sister and playet sister. However, Harrison was a bit stalkerish. Marrying a woman who looks like your college sweetheart is a bit much. He seemed too quick on his demands toward the heroine. I felt they needed more time to reacquaint themselves. It was good but moved too quickly and the hero had undesirable traits in my book. Not sure if their will be sequel but I would read it...
Way to much introspection and useless dialog that neither advanced the plot or gave meaningful insight into the motives of the characters.
The character of Kennedy is so indecisive and dishonest about her feelings that being a shy introverted nerd just wasn't a reasonable explanation. Harrison seemed way too accepting to the weirdness. His housekeeper and in-laws were way to extreme. Even at $.99 this is a pass. Loved the cover art.
Started off a little slow for me. Too many details about Kennedy and her issues. I was just about to give up and then it got a little more interesting so I hung in there. The story was good but not great. After Kennedy and Harrison finally got together their story felt rushed. Then the Maria thing out of the blue. That is a story in itself but that turned out to be a big let down. I got all hyped up for a fight that just fizzled out. If there is a sequel, I will read because there was so much left hanging with this book.
Loved this story about Kennedy and Harrison to very smart, very sexy doctors. I was old loved being reuinted. Kennedy at first really fustrated me, but she came out of that shell and was able to love and to accept love fro Harrison. Harrison was a widower with a daughter, she was a great man and a wondrrful father, but his dead wife family pissed me off Royally especially his late wifes sister. Loved Kennedy sister Finoa. And that nanny maria needed a reality check. Great quick read. If you are lookimg for a book, that has drama, and will make you laugh and cry. Another great read from Toye.
Okay. I read the conflicting reviews and decided to see what side of the fence I would land on. After about 9% of reading, I felt no connection with characters, story development or writing style. I slid the little reading bar to 80% and still maintained my first impression. The book steamrolled towards the same lackluster, boring ending as it did in it's initial entrance. Read at your open risk, but if you need a sleeping aid this book will definitely suffice for a quick and fast method to achieve that goal. Oh well, off to search for a good read. This book, if you should elect to read it, will definitely propel you to do the same!
